Beautiful Baby Hat

Beautiful Baby! They match :)

So much more to say, but I am oh so tired. Tired-er than I've ever been before.
Good thing they are cute. (I say that often.)

Newborn Knitwear

When my mom left this morning, I found $50 hidden under my phone, and her amazing knitwear, for the little one not yet ready to come out yet, folded sweetly on the changing table.

Maisy Wears Converse!

Takin' a rest in my new 'kicks.

Maisy is a very stylish mouse. We decided that she needed some stylish footwear.

What every mouse and baby need.

My mom made these for the newborn Isaac, but I don't think they ever fit him. Big feet from the beginning!

C'mon Maisy! Stand up!

She is now ready to walk across the windowsill and not get her white paws dirty.

If you would like the pattern, let me know and I'll ask my mom, you can knit them in bigger sizes too!

Maisy Moves Into Our House

Maisy moved into our house one month ago when Omi was here and knitted her up. We think Lucy Cousins, the many books of Maisy author and illustrator and person to bring Maisy to life, would be very proud.

Maisy wore overalls when she first arrived but then soon changed into a poncho.

Welcome Maisy! We are happy to have you here!

Isaac shows Maisy the backyard from his bedroom window.

Thank you Isaac!

Isaac takes Maisy's poncho off and tries to wear it on his foot.

Then Isaac tries to wear Maisy's poncho on his head, as a hat.

Maisy doesn't mind. She is very patient.

"Nice tries Isaac!" Maisy says, "You saw my poncho in new ways!"

Maisy is tired so she lies on the floor and takes a nap.

Honk-shooooo

Goodnight Maisy!

Goodnight family!

Shortees!

I've been doing perhaps a little too much online shopping lately, but some good stuff has come out of it!
Like these "Shortees" pants I bought for Isaac on Etsy.

They are made by Kim West, a creative momma in Philly, PA. I think her tag-line is something like, "Upcycled tees for your shorty!" I like her optimistic take on big used tee shirts :) Very cute! And, I don't know if you can tell, but she used lovely rainbow thread to sew 'em up. A very nice added touch! They do hug Isaac's bum a bit, but hey, what doesn't!?

They also say "My mom rocks", which is very appropriate because I am taking baritone ukelele lessons and learning how to rock, or at least learning the key of G!

Here are the shortees, modeled by the wee Isaac:

I've got a yellow tulip petal, green sandals, and cool pants.

And the doors still won't open!

handknit baby pants!

I love the little rollover waistband

Isaac's Omi made him these, and 5 months later, they finally fit!

What a lucky baby!

Pants, on the go, at the Monument in Fort Greene Park

This was right before we got a big compliment from a stylish momma!

An over the shoulder close-up pose

In case you love these pants and are a knitter, or if your mom/grandma is spry with needles, they are called Kumfy Pants and you can find the pattern on the website ravelry.

Happy knitting!
